Cara Mae Potter's Skin Butter Review

I was introduced to Cara Mae through a friend. I reached out to her and was kindly provided with these items to try out!

Cara Mae Potter's Skin Butter is a handcrafted Vegan lotion that was originally formulated for potters who spend lots of time with their hands in water, moisture-leaching clay, and quick-drying powdery glazes and slips. 

Soothing Lavender Potters' Skin Butter - ($14.95)

Potters' Skin Butter is a handcrafted natural vegan lotion for hardworking hands. It soaks in quickly and provides long-lasting non-greasy moisture for even the driest skin. One jar contains 4 ounces, which provides a six-month supply of luxurious lotion!

Key ingredients are shea butter, aloe, macadamia nut oil and more. Scented only with pure lavender essential oil, which has skin-soothing and mood-calming properties.


Just as you are going to bed, apply this lotion to your hands and feet. It is just bliss. Lavender is known for its ability to promote relaxation. This is the bottle I keep next to my bed for an evening treat. This helps to nourish your hands and feet while you sleep. The scent is like a walk through a lavender field and the essential oils might even sweeten your dreams.

Unscented Potters' Skin Butter for Sensitive Skin - ($14.95)

Unscented for sensitive skin, sensitive noses, and work environments that are designated "scent-free." 

This all-around lotion is fast becoming one of my most used products in my daily beauty routine. It's non-greasy but extremely moisturizing; I have very dry skin (especially in the harsh Midwest winters), and it's a struggle to find an affordable body lotion that doesn't dry my skin out more or need to be reapplied every few hours.

I am also very sensitive to certain odors and smells - some scents in lotions or perfumes can trigger migraines for me - but both scents that I've tried in this brand so far are amazing! The Lavender is calming and soothing; the Tangerine is simply delicious; neither scent is overwhelming or sickeningly sweet.

Energizing Tangerine Potters' Skin Butter - ($14.95)

Scented only with pure tangerine essential oil, which has uplifting and energizing properties.

Excellent creamy product that stays on your hands, but does not feel greasy. Wonderful scent and product, I would recommend to anyone. It reminds me of orange lifesavers but without being too sweet or overwhelming. The scent is delightful.
