Before raving, I will go ahead and say that you should not doubt this curling iron!!! You will love it!!! The Xtava Auto Rotating Curler is the easiest curling iron you will ever use on your hair. It heats up to 430 degrees (this is area is for thick/course hair) in around 25 seconds. Trust me in saying, you will not regret your decision in buying this iron. It's worth every penny and you will want to show everybody!!! I have to say, once you figure out the fact that it doesn't grip tightly like a "regular" curling iron, the results are amazing. It takes me maybe 15 minutes to get curls like I've never been able to achieve on my own before (salons, yes - at home, no). It gets really hot like a flat iron, so it only has to be held in place a few seconds. You can get bigger curls using larger sections, smaller with smaller sections...The ends of your hair will "collect" in the bottom opening of the clamp piece, but that's how it sort of loops around to wind the end onto itself, so that's expected. Again, it takes a few tries to figure out how to place your hair, how quickly to wind it, and how much will fit on the iron, but it works beautifully once you get that nailed.
